Perpetually Burning Fireplaces

My sister would like a mod that, when you light a fireplace, it doesn't go out by itself, and to add an option to turn it off. Do yot think you could make that for her, please?

Yeah, but she wants them to burn forever until she turns them off. She doesn't want them to go out by themselves at all...

i too would like this mod     especially  for comm lots an hotels, etc   places were you normally wouldnt have to light your own fire

i was just over at The Sims 2 Workshop  an seen the "longer fires" mod by Carrigon but i could only find it in pets section an it listed as only working for pets

Sounds like something I would love to have too! Yeah, Carrigon does have that mod at her site, but it isn't what I wanted like you guys.

Mr Squinge is probably up to his eyeballs in a lot of stuff so give him room to come about and share his thoughts on this idea.

I'm so glad you're looking into this, Squinge!   With Carrigon's mod in, I had a Sim start a campfire.  The cat, which wasn't due to have her babies for another three days, gave birth immediately!  So I exited without saving and this time, did not have my Sims start a campfire.  The cat then gave birth normally.

Some of Carrigon's mods can be really odd at times if combined with other mods and affect the game in ways not intended by the mods or whatnot.

I tried her mod out once before but I didn't like it. I guess I did want an option to turn the fireplace or campfire on or off.

Never tried Carrigon's mod for this. Then again, I don't think I've ever use any of her mods. They always did more than what I really needed at the time.

...although a certain shall-not-be-named hack of hers would've been handy for when I had Squingy's self-sim living in a penitentiary-like setting. 

Speaking of which, this is all the more reason for the Dork to get off his duff and make this hack for us.
