I lost my game cd!!!

So I lost my CD for FreeTime and I haven't been able to play my game AT ALL
I was wondering if I bought a newer expansion pack like bonvoyage or apartment life, will I need the freetime cd to install it?
It would suck if I need it. I miss my game

Bon Voyage pre-dated Free Time, so no.

Apartment Life came out after Free Time, so yes.

Whether or not your computer can handle a later expansion is another question to keep in mind.

Or you could contact EA/Maxis and see about getting a reduced cost replacement (if you registered your original disk with EA) -- I think the current replacement cost there is $13. Or check at some shops locally which sell used games (have seen various Sims 2 items on sale for as low as five dollars at such places -- double check that the booklet with the install code is included with the used disk). Could well be that after Sims 3 is released that there will be a glut of used Sims 2 items showing up.
