I would say this to u my friend, Back your sims 2 game up to  a external hard drive, I did that to my game, cuz I didn't have alot of downloads, my downloads for the sims 2 are only 243(very small).
if u deside to unstall your game, back your saved game to external hard drive. that's much better to keep your files,pics,movies and games.

Hm, uh yeah Wednesday I am aware of EA's track record, but thanks for justifying it. I was only stating the obvious, that if so many people are having problems with the game, regardless of there specs. The problem is not on the users' end but that of EA..ugh..
