Hey Everyone.
I'm trying to make a hotel in Riverblossom Hills that works just like any other hotel in the vacation lots. For some reason, the front desk has no available options and nor do the doors. But there is a person at the front desk and there are motel maids walking around. I have no idea why it will not work.

-I used the hotel doors for the rooms. The only different doors I have are the ones to the bathrooms and the door that leads to the check in area.
-I don't have any of those 'edge smoothers' on my lot (the ones that are in the fence section of Build Mode).
-I did the "changeLotZoning hotel" cheat.
-The roof is complete and it isn't intersecting anything.
-I checked for conflicting hacks already.

Can anyone maybe give me a hint on what I messed up on? Why won't the game let me check in or book rooms?

You have your  room doors facing the right way?  & you have a community phone on the lot?

I just built a hotel in my neighborhood.  Everything is working the way it should.

1.  Did you use the concierge podiums as opposed to the restaurant podium?
2.  Did you use the hotel doors as opposed to the apartment or dorm doors?

Yep, I got the doors facing the right way, a payphone on the lot, the hotel doors, and for the podium, I used one of those big, two tile check in desks. Is that what you mean by a 'concierge podium'?

Also someone else asked if I had a restaurant...I think that means do I have one on the lot? If so then no, in the other ingame hotels, room-service took care of food. And yep, the rooms have enough room to sleep in them.

The only thing I can think then is when you entered the changelotzoning cheat it didn't take.

Well if the large map on the doors is facing in & you have a check-in desk then have you tried retyping changeLotZoning hotel just in case it didn't work the first time?

oops I see ancienthighway already asked ...

Kay, I have been checking this thing on and off. The doors are right, the check-in desk is right. I did the code again, and it is still not working. I think maybe I have a corrupted lot or something?

Try building on a new lot.  Just keep it simple so you don't spend a lot of time on it if it doesn't work.  If you were using a subhood, put it in the main hood and vice versa.

I haven't built hotels myself but they don't have to be placed on vacation neighborhoods to work do they?

I have no idea what happened, but it suddenly works. I didn't do anything different, just double-checked everything and typed the code one more time and bingo. Everything seems to be in order.

Thanks for the help everyone!!
