like the .cache files in TS2? I was wondering if this would speed the game up by deleting some of those bulk files, that the game produces, like scriptCache.package or CompositorCache.package and simCompositorCache.package because those three files seem like the biggest files? I haven't deleted any yet, just simply curious if I could? tongue

Basically, they're .cache files that can be safely deleted, BUT the game will generate a new set each time they're deleted when you start up the game.

I understand that the game will generate more files, but I just thought it was a good idea to keep some of the larger files mowed down. The CompositorCache.package file in my directory has 74,206 KB. (so that can't be good for it just keep adding to it right?) anyway Thanks Chaavik, for letting me know that it's safe to do so Wink

Some files tend to become bigger, but only the .cache files from the following location can be deleted safely:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

Any other files that get deleted haphazardly in the Sims 3 directory can cause the game to crash or not run at all.

Tis why I asked, because knowing me I would probably corrupt the game if I deleted something I wasn't supposed to. rolleyes I only deleted the said three files I mentioned in my first post, hopefully by doing so the game will run a little smoother.
