I have a couple on vacation in Takemizu staying at a hotel. They had a great time but comes the morning and they won't move, won't get up, no snoring z's.  I cannot use moveobjects cheat because buy and build mode are greyed out. I've had couples unresponsive to waking up but I could always use moveobjects and get them out of bed.  Funny thing, back in the neighborhood, this couple will come to parties and answer phone calls but their house shows them still on vacation. I've put a lot of work into this couple and they are expecting their first child.  Also, I did not use CAS, they came with the game. (Sanjay and Priya Ramaswani)

This might not be of much help, but the Insimenator comes with the option to turn buy and build mode on or off.  I use it all the time when a burglar comes and I forgot to buy an alarm. You could get your Sims out of bed this way, but I'm not sure if it'd work.

First, are all your EPs/SPs patched? Seem to recall this was a glitch which was fixed with the Bon Voyage patch.

All I can offer is this:

Using Insimenator, or Inge's teleport shrub, or whatever teleport/summoner you prefer, go into an occupied house in the same 'hood as that of your Sim family (any occupied house other than the one belonging to the family frozen oin vacation) and teleport the Sims to that lot, then Save and Exit the game.

When you next run the game, the family should be back in their own house, and the vacation stopped.

HOWEVER, this includes an inherent possibility of permanently glorking the vacation lot where the freezing occurred, so if you choose to go this route be sure and make a back-up of your My Documents--EA Games--The Sims 2 folder first.

Also (though addressing a slightly different BV problem), found this:

http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/sims-2/282108-help-stuck-vacation-sims.html#post4633334

Might be worth a try, might not. I do not have BV installed, so cannot speak from any experience of trying what is offered at that link.

Thanks for the input.  What is and where is Inge's teleport shrub?
