Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this! But how do you make infant clothing and infant items?

you mean meshing, or just recoloring? Two different things, you know Smiley

Meshing, SimPE, photoshop, bone assignments, default replacements that doesn't overwrite the originals...

I'd recommend to start learning basic meshing first. Making body meshes isn't the easiest thing you can do - and it can easily go wrong. There are lots of beginner tutorials over at MTS2, and there are also a lot of tutorials here. You also need to be a bit familiar with SimPE, and also Photoshop (or similar) for the texturing part.

I'm thinking about making a simple recoloring tutorial. It won't include making a new mesh - simply because I've not gotten that far myself yet. Smiley

Oh Ok! So when you make your clothing you use the recoloring process? That is what I want to do.

Where can I get SimPe from?

Thaks!

While you can recolor toddler/kids/teens/adults and elder outfits with bodyshop you can not use it for infants.
Infant outfits(there are only 2 that came with the game) are custom made.
You need Simpe for it.
Best thing is to take one of my packages and edit the textures.

how exactly do i do this though?? is there a decent tutorial somewhere?? i have the intention span of someone my age (14), and the patience of someone younger. but i have the will, aptitude, and knowledge much higher than this, if that helps in choosing a tutorial that works... and if that sounds like bragging to you, i am sorry, that was not the intent, but i have read all the HP books several times each, it only took me one day in 3rd grade to read the 5th one (the longest) . just needed to point that out. PLEASE AND THANX! Rock

^ If you have Photoshop or another programme that lets you work with transparent layers, you don't need the alpha channel step. Just use a texture where the alpha parts are already transparent Smiley. Also, using DX3 gives you a lot better result than DXT1.
