Okay, all of my custom sims are now showing up in the game, but all of the files are still there.
And when I open SimPE, they are all there, they just don't show up in the game??

Yes, there are a few there, but when I try to play them they lie on the ground. And they have no aspirations, memories, friends, or anything else.

I lost a sim, she was one of the adopted Newson kids, Georgia. She had grown up well, become a specialist in the medical field, had a son and went on vacation. I saved the game but when I opened the game later to play their vacation, only her son and husband were there.  I had saved her package in SimPE and her package is still there but she doesn't come up in the SimPE sims browser. I have her clone but of course, the clone has none of the same memories or skills.

When I try to open her package in SimPE I get an error message:
"Unhanded exception has occured in a component in you application."
Further down in the error message it tells me to invoke JIT (just-in-time) debugging.
I searched the internet and found a JIT download (supposedly free). After it installed and I asked it to debug, it wanted money first. I uninstalled it.

I feel sad that I lost that sim but I have put enough time and energy into trying to restore her. She cannot be summoned by the "shrub" either.
