Ok I downloaded and installed the new version of the CEP and once I start the sims it loads up and then it crashes.
Any help? .-.

Also the error it gives me is "The application has crashed. The application will now terminate."

Take out the new CEP and try it again.  If it doesn't crash, then post on MTS2 in the thread on CEP and Numenor can help you out.

Ok I guess I'll do that.
Thanks.

Perhaps a silly question, but did you remember to remove any older CEP version you might have had in your game?

If you're sure there is one and only one version of CEP installed, then you can try this (if the game is crashing while launching):

Go to My Documents--EA Games--The Sims 2

Delete these files if any of them are in The Sims 2 folder:

groups.cache
accessory.cache
cigen.package

Then try to launch the game.

Deleting those files is perfectly safe. The game will auto-create new ones if it needs them.
