Wraps are great. Pretty much anything that goes in a salad + either eggs (boiled or scrambled), chicken, fish, or any other meat you like. They can be varied in any way you like, and you don't need to be a master chef to do it.

Eggs are super food. Eggs have pretty much everything you need of vitamins and minerals (though a bit low in C-vitamins). After all, they're meant to include everything a baby chicken needs to grow.

Anyway, relaxing before a late shift. Nice to be able to sleep for a few extra hours for a change...

Is macaroni and spaghetti the only thing in your cupboard? What else have you got? I've grown up with eating on a tight budget and it's hard, but not impossible. Add a bag of carrots, a bunch of celery, a bag of potatoes and a few heads of garlic to your pantry and you have the beginning of a lot of good things. If you have rice, make it with broth instead of water, saute some carrots and celery and toss them all together when your done. Chop up some of your veggies for a stir fry and season with whatever you like. It doesn't have to be soy sauce - add chicken for protein. I could give you more ideas, but without knowing what you have or what sort of budget you're on...

Right now, I'm waiting for the coffee to be ready.

If your kid is old enough (I've been gone a long time, so I don't know), he or she can start learning by making ants on a log.  Celery stalk, fill with peanut butter or cream cheese, raisins stuck on top.

Leftover idea: shepherd's pie: chop any meat and veg together, mix with gravy, put in a baking pan (quantities and size depend on how many people), smooth out and cover with a layer of mashed or chopped potatoes.  Doesn't look like the original meal, so it's not the "same old."

BTW, these look quite yummy: No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Figuring out what to make for lunch.

We need a recipes for Katie thread....

One of my favorite dishes is swiss pepper steak~
You'll need any type of steak (we use stir fry meat), bell peppers of any color, onions, mushrooms, tomato sauce and rice.
We usually side it with green beans, but the meal is fine on it's own. ^^

You'll want to cover the steak in flour, and fry it in a skillet on high until it is done.
You can either take the meat out, or leave it in when you add the sliced peppers and chopped onions. Cook those for a while longer.
Drain the grease off of the meat and veggies, and then mix in tomato sauce. Let simmer for a short time so it is all warm.
Pour the mixture over white rice, and enjoy~

It has steak, veggies and rice, so it covers a lot of food groups. xD

I am writing fanfic while eating lunch =3=

If I had my way, I'd make it so that if people want a drivers license in the USA, they'd be REQUIRED to learn how to drive stick shift as well as automatic.

...in other words, it's kinda lucky I don't have much interest in pursuing a political career.

In the arm, with vacutainers. I'm already used to do finger sticks (particularly on diabetics).

Weekend, finally!!!  Grin

Sounds like a plan; the Feds won't listen to anything except the ballots in the ballot box next election!

Waiting to borrow a car for the afternoon.

I think I'm still actively being the only American who truly, and genuinely, does not care about this government situation. And yes, I am an adult. And yes, I'm a military soon-to-be wife. Doesn't bother me, happens all the time. I don't think it makes Barak Obama a bad president at all. It's not his fault, no president can be perfect.
