Need Help W/Skill Opportunity "No Jams, No Fun"

I got the "No Jams, No Fun" opportunity from Connor Frio and repaired it for him, and now I can't get it back into my inventory to return it to him. Tried the usual "drag and drop" method, didn't work. I even invited him over and tried to give it to him at my sim's house, couldn't return it that because the stereo was not in my sim's inventory.
Anyone got any ideas on what I can/should do here?
