are you talking about delpys Hack Conflict Detection Utility for the sims 2? i dont think there's a sims 3 version yet?  now i dont know what compressor you are talking about.

Just that. Use at your own risk. Some people have reported having issues with their game after using the compressorizer, while some people find it works beautifully for them

Another clarification on hotlinking:
