My husband actually likes spam, but I won't let him buy it because of the smell. He's weird and can eat anything (probably got the ability from eating out of a garbage can as a kid).

Hey, I like hummus and even learned how to make it myself! It's pretty much just a paste made of garbanzo beans (chick peas) with honey, paprika and some other stuff. It's actually really good on pita bread sammiches, too.

And my father ate squirrel and a lot of other wild game, so watch it with slinging that kind of judgement around. When you grow up having to hunt for meat to put on the table, you do the best you can. I ate stuff like that when I was a kid, too, so don't knock it. If you've tried it and don't like it, fine and dandy, but you still don't have the right to go picking on someone for what they do like. Unless it really is something gross, like squirrel poo, for instance.

Offense is taken because you've got no experience with different or ethnic foods. Once you do, come back and tell me that I'm crazy. Until then, subject closed.

So why for you pick on other foods? Cheesy Seriously though, hon, there are many worse things that people eat that most won't even consider foods, like grasshoppers or ants or even cockroaches. Those are the things I really consider gross but some folks like 'em! Me? I get at crawly feeling in my stomach when I think about it. *shudders*

So, how 'bout those teddy bears having the picnic with SPAM sammiches?

I would try squirrel, if the guts and stuff weren't still in there. I'll try anything once. But my dad gave me hummus on a chip once and I almost puked.

He also eats catfish caviar dip. My husband likes sardine and jalapeno sandwiches. Just thinking of that sounds hard on the stomach.

I like weird food usually, squid, frog, etc.
