WCIF Pet controller

I downloaded a mod before that allowed me to direct my pets actions.  Anyone have a clue where to find it?  Thanks  .

I don't know of any mods for controlling pets. But I do know EA added two cheats that do the same thing.

boolprop ControlPets on or off, This one allows you to control them.               

boolprop PetActionCancel true or false, This one allows you to cancel any action they have in there queue.

Thanks for the info.  There is a mod that allows for it without the cheat box.  You just click go here or there, sleep, play etc., and they follow.

Not really a mod in the sense that the two cheats were already available to use for those of us who own the PETS EP.

Here is an easier way so you don't have to enter the two commands every time you enter the lot:

1. Use Notepad to either edit or create the userstartup.cheat file.

* You can find this file in the following location for Sims 2:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Config

Or similar for Vista.

2. Once opened, you can enter the two commands:

boolProp petActionCancel on
boolProp controlPets on

3. Save the file (if you already have the file) or Save As... userstartup.cheat if you don't have the file.

Use the .cheat extension to specify this file or the file won't work.


I use those two cheats for my pets extensively and doesn't do any harm at all when I control my pets.

Of course you're both right.  I think I downloaded a premade cheat file Squinge uploaded for someone else on here.   Of course it went up in smoke when my game went kablooey.
