Is there any possible way to have sims 3 social interactions in my sims 2 game?
I have both games but prefer sims 2.
Would it work by moving files?
Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the site as I am new to Insimenator.org
Thankyou in advance.

Eh....I'm not a technical wizard, but I'll hazard a guess to say that what you're asking for is very hard and time consuming to do, if it's even possible.
Maybe somebody with more knowledge about how the files work can give you a more detailed answer.

moving files will not work, since S2 and S3 are two completely different games, with different codings. If you want any S3 things as S2, they would have to be put together using S2 code, which is most likely very time consuming, if at all possible (And vice versa, S2 to S3). If the social interactions are "new" to S2, it would probably require new animations, too, and would very likely not look as good as the ingame animations. Things can be done, of course, but within limitations.
I'm not a tech wiz either, and I do not have S3 as of yet, but this much I've understood.

You could try, of course - but don't blame any of us if your game blows up...

The Big Fireball Visible From Outer Space.

In other words, totally borking and messing your game up.

Sims 2 and Sims 3 do have very identical animations for most interactions, BUT converting the animations or interactions from Sims 3 will not work for Sims 2. Why? Look at how both games are coded.

This thread has no more merit to discuss.
