I made a sim in bodyshop and packaged it normally.   Usually when I do this it shows up in the sim bin in game but this one doesn't.   She shows up in the body shop bin. I've tried cloning her and trying different body shapes and skins, but she still doesn't appear in the game.  It was an attempt at a celebrity sim so it took lots of time tweaking.

Attempts to install the packaged sim in the game and have her appear in the CAS bin haven't worked either.  Any clue what I might be doing wrong?

Did you try going through all the Sims in CAS?

Sometimes they don't show up in the first slot. Might be a few mouse clicks away.

Also, sometimes the thumbnails in CAS are wrong.

Control-right click on a thumbnail to reset it.

Yes I have gone through all my CAS sims and checked the thumbnails.  She would show up as CC so I stopped after the maxis bin sims first appeared.

This probably won't help but I couldn't get a Sim I had worked on in Body Shop to show up in CAS and I finally figured out why. She was a Young Adult and my CAS didn't have that catagory. Just Toddler, Child, Teen, Adult and Elder.

However, I am grateful I looked at this topic because my thumbnails in CAS and Body Shop were a mess. Now I know how to reset by control right-clicking on the thumbnail. Thanks!

My mouth is hanging open in shock.  I actually helped someone.  Oh, man, I may break my arm patting myself on the back.  I'm so proud of me.

This is for you:  Love n Hugs
