I absolutely hate that when a sim draws a blueprint on the drafting table it looks like a drawing but my custom drawings on the drafting table end up looking like horrible ugly etches that hardly resemble the pictures. Is there a hack that can fix this?

The only person I know who's been able to remove that ugly-ass filter was a user named Vral. Sadly, he never explained how, or even made it available to download.

Original request thread was here.

Wasn't that fixed with the FT patch? One of the fixes states that this will no longer happen if you apply the patch.

It is always a good idea to apply the patches. In TS2 EPs do not patch each other like they did in TS1. Hence the ability to install them in any order. You need to apply the patch for each EP separately. When installing a new EP, I know that it says "patching" during the process, but this does not mean that it is applying a patch to any of the EPs. What it does is patch the base game and enable new interaction to sims and game objects. It does not apply an actual patch that is available on the official TS2 site. When applying the patch it will probably say something like "your game is already up to date, should I patch anyway?" and you say "yes" to that.

Am I misreading Vral's post?  It looks to me like he's requesting someone make a mod to remove the filter, not that he has one.

I know that once a sim in the neighborhood uses the drafting table the photobooth pictures come out all black.  I'm thinking the patch didn't fix all the problems if it fixed any.

His response on the second page indicated he did manage to do it himself.

...and as far as the patch, I don't remember seeing any difference after I applied it either.

Ah, I missed the second page.  I usually stop reading after the Dork gets picked on as rarely is anything meaningful said after that.   Grin
