I know i'm a nobody, i don't have any money or anything (to donate),
all i could think of was to spread the word as much as i can and hope that people will be kind enough and help out.

I'm from the Philippines and we have just experienced the worst tropical storm for atleast 40 years.

more info/news:

http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Philippines-Flooding/ss/events/wl/092709philippinesflo

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090927/ap_on_re_as/as_philippines_flooding_12

A few days ago our house was submerged about three inches above the knees in flood waters,
(that was inside our house w/c was higher than other houses)  it was waist deep on the streets and chest deep a few miles from us...
in our capital, Manila - people were spending the night on top of their roofs, starving w/o food or water.
because the flood waters were so high, it submerged everything, cars were floating by, dead people covered in mud...
we had it rough here but other people had  rougher, some thought that it was the end of the world.

Now, i'm not good with words so i'll be leaving it up to behindinfinity in DA to appeal to you all,

http://behindinfinity.deviantart.com/journal/27461246/

PLEASE HELP US ANY WAY YOU CAN,
I'M NOT NECESSARILY ASKING FOR MONEY THOUGH IT WILL BE VERY HELPFUL,
THINGS LIKE PRAYERS AND SPREADING THE WORD IS ENOUGH.

EDIT: i DID say that i'm not good with words...
I typed all this up in the middle of the night - after i checked on my friends and family, saw all the reports, videos, blogs, news on tv, etc.  so i was pretty stressed, air headed and half asleep all at the same time.
So yeah, after reading what i wrote - it kinda looked like i (personally) was asking for help for me and my family.
~i couldn't have made a more stupider misuse of words. *facepalm*

Just to clear things up:
Me and my family are fine. two days ago the flood waters receded and we all set to work cleaning everything.
nothing of much value was lost.
the worst we have was that our doors (made of wood) were too thick ( it sucked up water) to close.
the lower part of our couches (w/c was propped up on the dining chairs) were soaked.
and everything smells like wet earth and mold.

What i meant by writing this was (i'm quoting from Jin here)  "I live far from where the typhoon made the most damage... But this is my country, this is my home, these are my people."

I am asking help for them. the other people, my people.
I'm linking to Jin's entry because all you need to know and all the numbers you can call and stuff is all compiled in that journal entry.
All i could do to help is to spread the word and appeal to people outside.
I have been posting this to various SIMS sites since these are areas i'm most active in.

I hope that clears it up. i'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

Thanks Nalia, Lulupink, Lilflow
*hugs back*
my family is fine, our area received only a half of the disaster you see on the news. In a few days time, everything in our home will be back to normal. The ones who got the worst end of the flood was up north. I was sending text messages to everyone of my friends yesterday, they're having problems with getting food, they lost everything but some of them are still positive thinkers (like me) they were bitching about being forced to quit smoking since there isn't a place where they can buy any cigs. actually there isn't a place you can buy anything PERIOD.
Now i have to go and call one of my friends, i have been having trouble contacting her until now. hope she's alright... she's the one i'm most worried about because the area where she lives is where the floating cars and underwater houses were.

I, speaking for myself and my countrymen would like to thank all of you who took time to read this plea, those who included us in their well wishes and donated and helped us out in different ways. Everything is still far from being fixed but it's a start.

Again, Thank you very much!
