Whenever I try to get a sim to read a book, it just cancels the action and resets the sim. Any kind of read interaction except the study interaction with the bookcase. Any read interaction is canceled, wether it's relaxing on the bed, reading from the bookcase, or reading on the hammock from BV.
I turned on testingcheats to get a better look at the problem.
Apparently, my error is because of an invalid constant.
I've got an error report, one from relaxing on the bed then reading, and one from reading directly from the bookcase. I'm not sure if posting those would help, but I'm honestly lost right now.
Thanks for looking this over.  Undecided

Have you tried pulling out your hacks and seeing if that erased the problem?

Putting the error logs in the body of a post would take up too much space, but you can upload them as attachments for people to take a look at (we kept attachments enabled in this section for that purpose only - attaching error logs Smiley).

Hmm, I'll try that out.
I'll go ahead and attach the error logs to this post, after looking through some of the others, looks like it forcing a reset to sims who aren't even reading.
The first error log is the sim who got an error and wasn't even reading.
The second error log is the sim who was relaxing on the bed and started reading.
The third is from a sim who read directly from the bookcase.
It's on all lots too, if that helps. And it doesn't cancel until they open the book, the sim was able to pull it out of the bookcase, bring it to a chair, but as he's about to open it, he just gets reset.

Looking at the reports, it could even be a problem with a piece of custom content. By any chance, is this bookcase your sims are using happen to the be the same on every lot?

It's the bookcase that came with university. The dahlen library bookcase, But it's not a custom bookcase, I'll try different ones.

Ok I tried it, and it works with no cc on all bookcases,
I'm guessing this is the part where I shuffle through all my downloads huh? Undecided
at least I'm somewhat organized there, and I'm just happy my neighborhood isn't irreversibly messed up.
thanks for all the help so far, Joy!

Yep. I would start with hacks/mods and see if that does the trick. If not, it's down to the old 50/50 method. Been there, done that. It's why I got into the habit of keeping my mods in a separate subfolder and any new downloads (two weeks or less) in a separate subfolder.

Good luck and yw!
