I love your pics Carl. I haven't been bothering with sims 3 photos. With starting school tomorrow and weather, I just haven't had time.. Did you know we've had the threat of two cyclones in two days, Olga crossed the coast earlier today near Port Douglas, and Neville (Now both just lows) will bring us heavy weather, so severe we're on a severe weather warning.. I hate weather.

These pictures took a lot less time than most of mine do, and ALL of the poses n stuff were just part of a romantic hug.  Cheesy

wait, why are you reinstalling?

Sims 3 is kinda hard to take pictures with, at least, set up ones.
2 cyclones? Wow. I had that same stuff before. We always had hurricane watch, hurricane warning, etc. We never really took it seriously beyond the point of stocking up on water. In the 2 years I've been there, it was just near misses and only one direct hit, and the one hit was a really weak one too. It was exciting in a way. Stay safe! tongue

By the way, if you want to know anything about how I do any of my pictures, go ahead and ask away!
I'm probably going to do another "Behind the scenes" type update again. As soon as I get home, anyway. Wink

Awesome! I'll throw in some background info on that poem and chapter 3 of Taken For Granted.

Here's a little thread header. From color, to a fade to B&W. Not as good as the last one, But I was just playing around with tools to make it.  Grin
I'd be happy to show you the way I do anything in my editing! Just ask away!

First on this update, A nice little picture of the doctors (aka sims I haven't played for a long time and townies in uniforms!) of Ridgemont Chase.

This is the forest lot I set the poem in. Even if the poem has NO imagery...lol

It's a shame I didn't use the other part of the lot. I like that part.
Now that I look back, that poem had a TINY bit of imagery. Rain. It doesn't show, but it IS raining in all the pictures I took for that. Here's a shot I didn't end up using.

And another. Now that I look at them, they'd look good combined. But, nah. I think I made good choices with the ones I picked.

The AYYO! girl. Girl in my new avi.  Cheesy
What this lot is (and why it's so blank) is because it's a staging lot. Greenscreen rooms, spacious stadium-sized rooms and other stuff like that. It's also the lot where I make my townies look different from each other because I'm to lazy to make completely new sims just for side characters and just in the background of other pictures. She is one of those said townies.  tongue

AYYO!

Gah. If it wasn't for the freezer clock, Chris would have been doing this A LOT in the pictures. Why'd I make his dad so dang good at cooking?

It took 6 six plates of pancakes to finish these pictures. Chris kept finishing his and Bianca's kept getting TOO eaten.

Since I couldn't find an animation for it, I had to drain her energy 4(!) times and make her fall face first into her food. It was fun!  Evil

Here's the shot I needed her to do that for. I didn't do it for fun. That'd be cruel. [/sarcasm]  rolleyes
Nice shot, huh?

I had multiple shots of this one picture. I couldn't choose between one focused on Bianca, which let me show Camden cooking in the background, or Chris, who was the main focus of that part of the story anyway.

I eventually choose this one, obviously. It's a nice angle don't cha think?

Love the updates, Carl!
You have so much more patience in setting up scenes than I do.

Patience. I've always had a lot of it.  Cheesy

Next updates a surprise, instead of me posting about how I get pictures done, it's going to be a ton of random pictures while I'm actually playing.  tongue

Haha, I was bored Friday afternoon. After spending most of the day drawing, and not in the mood at all to set up pictures, I decided to mess around with genetics. To be honest, I just took a bunch of random sims, and used the Sim Blender like there was NO tomorrow. Ending up with 5 new toddlers. Haha.

This was just me screwing around on that staging lot.  tongue
These first 5 were taken RIGHT after they grew into toddlers.
First up, Sharon Randall, being held by her mom in this pic.

Then a set of Twins!
Delaney,

And Jarred,

And another set of twins!
Matthew,
Jarred and Delaney's mom is visible in the background BTW.

and Calvin, He's being held by his and Matthew's mom, BTW.

Now these next five were taken after I changed their appearance, just hairstyles and eyebrows.  tongue

Let's start with Jarred's picture,

Ha. And he thinks someone's going to actually pick him up. Ha.

Calvin's up next. I bet your thinking "You better be careful, he might fall off that piano stool."

He'll be fine......  rolleyes
Here's Matt.
Your thoughts: "Why did you put him on a desk? That's even more dangerous than the piano stool!"

Chill. It's just a large brass desk about 4 feet from the ground. He'll be fine.

LOL. My mom just walked in as I was sorting these pictures. First thing she says is "That's a nice doll!"
I feel so unmanly now.  Grin

Anyway, Back to it.
Delaney,
Your thoughts: "An ice rink? She might get hit! What's going on in your head Carl!?!"

Ehh...That's not too dangerous...

And Sharon, my personal favorite from this group of toddlers!
Your thoughts: "Next to the pool? At Night? AND Unsupervised? Your insane! That's not where you put a toddler!"
I know. I know. But doesn't the pool look cool?  Cheesy

Here's a picture that I just had to grab.

"GOD! That's like the 5th birth today! When will it end?"

Thanks! Hah. The explanations are there because I didn't notice how dangerous the pictures looked until I quit the game. The only tot truly safe was Jarred. So then I sorted the pictures by dangerous-ness.  tongue
I think I'm going to make them grow up now.  Cheesy
Then play around with genetics again.
