Is this request for Sims 2 or Sims 3?

(in case of sims 2. No idea what is possible with sims3).

First of all, with the "sim world maker" as you call it, or Sim City 4, you can only build neighborhoods, which are more or less visible from the lot view. Sim City 4 isn't directly compatible with sims 2, and neighborhood outlays is the only connection between the two games. As far as I know, there is no way to "combine" them.

You can't "mod" a house to have a huge surrounding landscape. You can build the castle on a 6x6 lot, maybe with some landscape around, and if you need scenes like a forest or a mountain or whatever, you could build new "scenes" for those shots on different lots in the same neighborhood. It's often easier that way.

I'm not a movie maker, but I do have a story going on with static pictures. I use different lots for different scenes (aka. home, school, hospital, city street and so on). That's what most movie/story makers do, anyway.
