I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section, I wasn't sure where else to put it. Okay, I barely use custom lots, but I was wondering...while looking in my EA Games folder I noticed one called, "PackagedLots" is this where you properly put custom lots? Any replies would be very, very useful and appreciated.
Thanks!

Packaged lots is where your own packaged lots end up (the Sims2Pack files) when you pack them in Neighborhood view.

Custom lots are best installed with the Clean Installer, and no, they do not end up in the PackagedLots folder. The lot files end up in the LotCatalog folder, while the CC (If there is any) usually end up in your Downloads folder.

And as far as I know, you can't put the lot files inside the catalog. They have to be installed. I'm not sure if it's safe to delete them from there, either.

You can always delete custom lots from inside the game.

You want to use Clean Installer, not the Maxis installer.  http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/

This lets you avoid installing Sims and fragments of Sims, install custom content directly to the Downloads folder, etc.
