Patch Question

Should I patch my Sims 2 Games and is any of the patches compatible with Windows 7? I keep getting incompatible application when I would run the compatibly troubleshooter. Has anyone encountered that? Just curious.

I run the game on Win7 and had no problems installing the patches. I just downloaded them all and patched the base game and each EP as I installed them. I didn't run the compatibility troubleshooter or anything like that. It was just a case of install, patch, install, patch, etc.

Thank you and I get that Expansion Pack isn't installed when it is. What is causing that?
