I'm looking for a mod to prevent the game from selling the furnishings when a family moves out. There's some things that can only be added to lots by having a sim move in and manually place the items (stuff that only appears in the simventory for example). My current technique has been to create a disposable character to place them and then killing them off but I'd rather do it more "cleanly".
(ps how odd. the spell checker in here doesn't recognize the word "sim")

Hi TtheK,

Could you please try to put capital letters where they should be (beginning of sentences, proper nouns and the nominative "I"). We have a few users whose eyesight isn't very good and it makes your posts a lot easier for them (and everyone else) to read.

Alternatively:
Package the lot with the Sims in residence.
Close the game.
Open the packaged lot with Clean Installer.
Uncheck references to any Sims or family.
Save with a different name like MyLot-unpopulated.

Your lot can now be installed into the game with no stray bits or graves.
