OK, I have no idea why I'm asking this, but I am just dying of curiousity...

http://www.mtsims-cakestore.com/

I really like these lipsticks that they made.  Really nice quality

This kimono looks good too

They have good stuff, especially the make-up.  But what I need to know, is why they call it "cake store"? I don't see any wedding cakes to add to a sims wedding, or perhaps another birthday cake would be nice to add to buy mode to celebrate a birthday in sims 2.  I mean, I don't care if they don't have those things for download, I just want to know why they call it a cake store!

They're making me hungry!

So does anybody know WHY on earth they call it a "cake" store?  In what way does it involve a slice of cake?  It's mostly Bodyshop stuff.

Now because of them, I'm getting a damn sweet tooth!!  GAH

I would visit their forum to ask them why, but there very little english to understand all the chinese. So has anybody else ever been to this sims website?

You would have to ask them at their website why they call it cake-store. I'm sure no one else knows.

Also, it's not your job to promote anyone else's website. If people want to advertise their sites, they can do so in our Sims 2 Web section. Wink

I will thank you for alerting me to this site's attention SparkleSim, I am always in need of more oriental themed items.  The mystery of the name of the site will have to remain a mystery for now, I didn't look very hard for that anwer while I was there.  I found alot of really nice costumes there though thank you. I don't see any wedding cakes to add to a sims wedding, or perhaps another birthday cake would be nice to add to buy mode to celebrate a birthday in sims 2.

I know this only is an answer to half your post, but if you would like to celebrate a birthday, I am glad to offer these objects for you:

Cakes: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=341369 OR http://www.sims2cri.com/eng_food_cake.php

Presents: http://www.simwardrobe.com/ AND / OR http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=376398

Other party things: http://www.simslice.com/thesims2/ts2objects.htm (pages 1, 4, 11)

I'm sure there is more. These are just a few things for you to get started. I get by just fine on birthdays or weddings without having the Holiday Party Pack or other EP's.

Hope these links help.
