I am starting to see this also, with Win 7 64bit Home Premium, while playing last night the game was chugging at 7 frames per second. I am running a Nvidia 8800GTS 512Mb and 4Gb of RAM.

I'm going to reformat my hard drive and see if that helps.

One thing I might do is, not let Windows update.

The admin on our site has Win 7 and recommends it to no one. She has been in programming for 30 years, so I would trust her advice. However, for your sake, Ed, I am hoping and praying you will find a solution. I would really hate to lose a Sim 2 buddy like you, sweetie.  Cry

Thank you.

The few people I've talked to all said they reformatted and the games worked perfect.....

The reformat didn't work. I have to take the computer in and get it fixed. Luckily, it's still covered under the warranty.

It's going to take a good two or three weeks. Since my video is integrated, they have to order a new one.

I would have such horrible withdrawal pains if I had to do with out my game for that long. Am I spamming here or my comments still considered on topic?

I've gone without a computer for seven months before. So, two or three weeks is nothing.

I don't consider it spamming, you're commiserating with a poor soul who is going to be without their game for a time. Sympathy isn't spamming. At least to my mind, it isn't...

SEVEN, sorry, seven months!!!!

About the only way I could handle going more than a day without Simming is to be asleep or hospitalized.

Thanks, Paden, for the input.

I think it is not just the game I would miss but the connections I have in the community - maybe I could survive as long as I have my internet pals. I would probably do a ton of downloading. Then I would start cleaning folders, organizing files, wishing I still smoked and imbibed in JD. Gosh, I just realized how great Simming has been for my over all health.
