After weeks of searching, I've come here for help. I want a default set sorta like the Ephmera re-do at Sirona Sims. They are more detailed and shiny than Maxis, with a more realistic face texture and more muscle-moddling. I've seen some advertised as showing MORE cut when they are "fit"; nice, but not a requirement of mine. Like Sirona's, they need to have no eyebrows and little or no lashes. AND (the hardest to find!) must have nipples and a discrete furry bit. The set at Sirona WOULD have worked (even though they are half/barbie) but in MY game (!?) her S3 looks as dark as Maxis S4! And in my game, even Maxis S3 is too dark.

If you're looking for anatomically correct (non barbie) skin tones, you'll need to ask at the adult site and not here, please.

I've not tried making default skins myself, but after what I understand, they are quite simple (if you care to learn some basic SimPE, of course).

All you need, is a set of default skintones (S1-S4), the four skintones you want to replace them with, and SimPE (including some basic knowledge in the how-to). Unless you want to make changes to the skintones, there is no need for an image editing program (like photoshop)

The first thing I learned in SimPE, was to make infant outfit default replacements, which follows much the same principle. No need to make new files, as you can't use more than one set of defaults anyway.

First, you extract the textures from the skintones you want to use (face/head/body for all ages, make sure you name the files with age/gender/placement/bodytype/skintype so that you don't accidentally place the wrinkly elder face in place of the baby face. "AF-face-fat-S2", or "CU-body-normal-S3" for instance). Some skins use the same textures for the different body types or faces (toddler has fewer teeth in the face, baby has none, elder is wrinkly, while adult/YA/teen uses the exact same face - as an example. Head texture is usually the same for all, with the exception of elder, which in some cases is lighter)

Then, you open the default skin, and replace the textures (use "build DXT", NOT "import" - you'll find more info about how to do texture replacing in several tutorials) for the belonging age/gender/bodytype and so on.

Then you "save as...", and rename the new files to something like "DefaultSkin_Ephemera-Sirona_S2" so you know what it is.

Not too difficult, or what?

You see - the best way to get something done, is to (learn how to) do it yourself. Then you don't have to depend on others to do it for you.

You've probably heard: “Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime” —Author unknown

Though, I must honestly say I like this version better: “Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today.  Teach a man to fish; and you will not have to listen to his incessant whining about how hungry he is.” —Author unknown

Or maybe this: “Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.  Unless he doesn't like sushi—then you also have to teach him to cook.” —Auren Hoffman, Herald Philosopher

Meant positive, of course. Not everyone has what it takes to learn new and difficult skills, but my personal opinion is that if a person don't care enough to at least do a little effort themselves in learning something new (at least when it comes to simming and creating things for it, which in many cases isn't too hard to learn if you're prepared to do a little effort), then they don't really need what they're looking for. I mostly gave up asking people to make things for me, and instead slowly started learning how to make them myself, learning the basics of SimPE, learning more things in Photoshop, leaning meshing... Even before I could do any meshing and only had basics of Photoshop, simPE and Bodyshop, I discovered I could do quite a lot. It took quite a lot of effort to get where I am today (and I'm still no expert in any CC-making), but I'm not any longer very dependent on other people to make me things. I download what I can find (as it's no use re-inventing the wheel), and make things for myself I can't find other places. If I need something I can't find, and can't create with my current skill level, I read up on tutorials so that I learn how to do it. If I can't figure out how to do it, I ask for help on how to solve it. I only ask for someone to do it for me if it's still above my skill level (like programming and more advanced SimPE levels, which for me seems to take a lot of time to learn). This way I can usually manage, and I get things done while at the same time I learn something new.

Now, I've got no real skills about fishing, but I know how to go to the store and buy it. No real skills needed for that, but the "know-how" is important. It's the "get the fish" that is the problem. It won't magically appear if you sit in a chair all day, whining that "I'm hungry". So, I got he fish from the store. Here's the problem. I don't like sushi (raw fish), so I had to learn how to cook. Fried or boiled fish needs some basic skills in how to handle a cooking plate and some basic tools. It's worth it, because in my opinion, boiled or fried fish is better than raw fish. Then I started experimenting with spices, which made the fish even better. Nowadays, after eating fried or boiled fish with salt and pepper for a while, you might say I'm more interested in learning other ways to cook or prepare it, maybe add different garnish to have even more varieties to choose from. I'm not by any means a master chef, but I could eat different fish dishes for a whole week or even longer without getting tired of eating the same. It's the same principle with CC-creating and all other types of skill building.

Found it:OMG "porn"?! gee I don't consider nipples (which Maxis allows on MEN), or other "natural" things to be porn. But it looks like most Simming people do. So thanks & by.
