Whenever I go to change the color of an object I get the message materialing materials.  This continues for hours until I finally shut it down. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall with the same thing happens.

I just had the same thing happen to me when I went to modify her shoes. It's annoying yes and it will never load. I figured out it only happened when I installed custom patterns. Have you downloaded any recently? This could be the reason why.

That happens when you convert a pattern that was made with EA's Create-A-Pattern tool to a .package file.

A good rule of thumb is to always install Worlds, Patterns and Counters with the launcher.

The good news is that granthes made a tool to fix such a problem here (registration required to download)

The bad news is that the site is down at the moment.
