I was wondering if anybody could make a large American High School (Set as a residential lot) with classrooms, a recess area, etc. and if they could I'd be super happy. If somebody could also make a suburban family house with an upstairs game/TV room, bedrooms for 6+ Sims and a guest room, and more, I'd be really happy.

Any help would be appreciated, and the houses can have CC or not, in fact, Custom Content is preferred!

I have all the expansion packs and stuff packs: Ikea, Kitchen and Bath, Teen Style, and H&M.

If you check out the Belladonna High School at Garden of Shadows, it might be something you like. The site is a bit moody right now, so you might have to try later.

It has a recess area, football (soccer) field, indoor basketball, and special classrooms such as science/biology, art, home economics and a few more. It has regular classrooms for young kids, older kids, and teens, plus room on the roof to build more floors.

I think it is community, but it's an easy switch with the residential cheat and the buyable mailbox/trashcan (go here: http://daydream.etowns.net/, click on the sims 2 icon at top, and you'll find them under hack/mods - remember to get the correct version)

Modthesims also has a bunch of schools: http://ww2.modthesims.info/browse.php?tag=school&gs=1&f=143&gs=1
You can easily sort them out according to the EPs/SPs you don't have.

Suburban houses are pretty much everywhere, so unless you have some spesific preferences, you could try out Modthesims. They've got several such houses.
