Installation help

I have sims 2 deluxe edition and not sims 2 original. Well I installed sims 2 university and open for business after I installed sims 2 deluxe. I'm trying to install christmas edition now and it is asking for sims 2 disc 1 (the original one). Help?

I have sims 2 glamour life, apartment life, pets, seasons, and freetime left.

I'm assuming it wants the "basegame" disc, so if one of the discs is for installing the base game (or if there is only one disc) in the deluxe pack, it's probably that one.

Yeah when I enter the disc 1 for deluxe it just opens the game. I haven't had this problem before, very confused.
