This mesh is for teenage male sims. I wanted to add shoes too it, but i have no idea how too and the tutorials are incredibly difficult.

could someone please do it for me? I just want them to be normal black tennis shoes.

Since they're Maxis "blockfeet,"  it's actually very easy.

  • Find and install an outfit with the sneaks you want.
  • Fire up BodyShop.
  • I don't remember the button sequence very well, but make a new project based on the outfit with the sneaks.  Call it Donor or something equally witty.
  • Also make a new projects based on your tshirt and shorts outfit (unless you already have one).  Give this a real name, like JoeWinkoAthleticOutfit1.
  • Using your paint program, open the colored texture file for both projects.
  • If your paint program supports layers:
    • Copy the entire texture for the sneaks outfit.
    • Paste it over the texture for your outfit as a new layer.
    • Erase everything from the ankles up on the sneaks layer only.
  • If your paint program does not support layers:
    • Erase the sneaks texture from the ankles up.
    • Use your paint brush to add small circles to the upper corners.
    • Copy the entire texture (sneaks plus little circles) and paste it over your outfit texture.
    • The circles are used to keep the sneaks texture at the bottom.
  • Save the outfit texture as bitmap with the same name; allow it to overwrite.
  • Switch to BodyShop or reopen it if you closed it.
  • Click the circular arrow to test fit.
  • If you like it, import it!

Not all shoe textures look good on the barefoot mesh. This is due to the bad mapping for the toes.

Shoeswap tutorial:

With pictures, and every step is explained, so it's quite easy (even if the tutorial looks long).

* GoS might be a little slow in loading, or seemingly not load at all. This is due to their recent problems. Just try again if it doesn't load.
