I'm just wondering if I need to delete the version of the Insimenator that's on my computer before I install the Free Time EP, will it make my game crash to have it on there, or should I delete and wait until the new version comes out?

YES!!!
Everytime a new ep was out Insim needed update and this EP is requiring for many many mods to be update. You should actually remove ALL your mods and check daily to know if they were updated if you do not want any problems.
