Thanks so much, Squinge. Smiley

I'll let you know if this has any problems.

But thanks in advance anyway. Smiley

Seems ok so far, Squinge, BTW.

I've tested it on a Business(Community Lot), and the owner left without closing the place. I'm now going to take her BACK to the Lot and check that there were no ill effects. Smiley

There is a manager in this lot?

Yes, there is.

Actually I've not YET tested it on a Manager-less Lot, but I will.

However, I will say that I FORGOT to tell the Manager to "Mind the Store" before leaving, though I don't know if that makes any difference at all.

Regardless, the Owner left without closing and clearing out, and when she came back(she's there now), the business all seems fine. Smiley

My first test.

1. Owner + Manager (not relative to owner): all works perfectly.

2. Owner + Manager relative (her son) living in the same home:
When the owner leaves also her son leaves. No chance to order him to stay in the business. But the business itself seems to go fine anycase.

That is normal all playable sims always leave a business together even without using this mod Smiley

edit: if they are living in the same house they all leave together.

I've still encountered no problems so far, Squinge.

I have to say, this also works very nicely with Inge Jones' Hacked Business Sign and her Employee Tokens, because it gives us greater flexibility. On the one hand, this new hack permits our owners to leave with the shop still running and customers still present... but alternatively, with Inge's stuff, your owner can close the shop(evacuating the customers), and remain on the Lot with his/her Employees and even invite over some visitors if desired. Smiley

The two go very nicely together.

I'll keep a further eye on this. My only real concern is what MIGHT happen if you sell the Lot back to the Community while Customers and/or Employees were still present last time you left.

I guess, as a safeguard, it's probably sensible to visit your Business Lot and Clearout everyone(perhaps even fire the Employees maybe) and THEN come home and sell it.

That MIGHT not be necessary, but it's just a precaution orth thinking about, in view of the initial concerns over "trapped sims".

In any case, it seems fine so far at least. Smiley

Not exactly.
A manager becomes playable (into the business lot) when promoted to manager, always, but if it isn't living in the same home of the owner, it doesn't leave the lot when the owner leaves, even if it's relative to the owner.

BTW, I noticed that the mother (owner) and her son (manager) leave together the business lot but, when their car returns home, only the mother appears.
The son returns home by itself later, when business time is finished.
