ok - this makes sense - the scan folders function of the later versions of the game with EPs is buggy. It scans all folders instead of just the associated one for downloads and such. This doesn't happen to every one, but it happens to a lot of people both on Mac and PC platform - I am seeing more and more people remark that they had accidentally left a download in the THE Sims 2 root folder and that it was in game - much to their surprise.
