I get too annoyed to play with servo's.  It seems they LOVE making desert all the time, its even (dare I say) MORE annoying than sims that make Lobster Thermador every 5 minutes, even when they're not hungry!

Servos need to be more controllable in that regard, so that you can assign them chores to do, like have one that does the garden and outside, and one that looks after kids and makes a variety of meals for everyone - like a good appliance should!

What's the general point of view of having servos out there?  Anyone who agrees with me (maybe a mod-creator?? Smiley)

I think they should have an adjustment ranging from just a servo, helping around to being able to be a "service", nanny, maid, etc.., or just being a family member without the autonomous "do chores" option.

I have a love/hate relationship with servos too.

Not for the same reasons.

The things you mention are annoying but I can live with that.

My problem with servos is their unlimited lifespan.

Servos are a bit annoying, but I guess they are okay. Smiley I agree that they need to be a bit more controllable.

Yes I could do that if it comes down to it.

I just have a problem justifying in my mind a piece of hardware of any kind that lasts, and stays functional, "forever".

Look at it this way, if you have a regular sim in the house along wit the servo, when the regular sim dies, you wont lose all the furnishings in the house so you could still move a family into that house without losing the furniture.

Yep... there are the perks too.

That would fall on the love side. They're pretty useful alright.

I tell ya I'm torn. Cheesy

Conversely why would you need someone to move in?

The servos will inherit the Sim Earth.

I wouldn't put it past them.

I think I'll toss a servo to a cowplant and see what happens.

If we can have bot vampires I'll almost believe anything now.

Talk about useless...  what's the point of a bot vampire?  They are possible though.  Albeit not in my game.

I, Servo

Lol Vampyre, it sounds like your neighborhoods are on the verge of a Terminator, Matrix, or I robot takeover. Hehe with that mod of squinqes that lets servos look like normal sims, you could be taken over!

That would be a cool new career, Servo destroyer, drafted into a secret society that has knowledge of the servo takeover they pledge to get rid of them. Like a burgular they hit houses , not to steal, but to kill the servo. Armed with modern tech they can override normal house security..

Lol I just want 1 dangit so I can see what all the fuss is about.

Lol! Imagine that...
however...that might not be a bad idea...a new npc with the sole purpose of killing servos! When your servo decides to make yet another desert, or outlived your famlily once again, phone the terminator and get rid of that piece of junk!

Funny thing; I told one to make cheesecakes, and it kept stopping to do nonexistant `chores'.  Regrettably, it never decided to stop making cheesecakes to make dessert...
