From what I can see this project has been abandonned, the last updates on the site date from mide 2006.  Perhaps someone has more current information.

Hey, I've researched getting The Sims 2 Clean Pack Installer, so I can install packs that need certain expansion packs, or have other problems.

I've found that the Clean Pack Installer isn't compatible with Macs and we must get "The Sims 2 Woo-Hoo", a similiar product for Macs. I found the Wordpress and sent an e-mail as requested, but I haven't gotten any response. Does anyone know more about this? Maybe a link to the download or something?

I think the project just kinda.. dissolved into thin air. I've sent numerous email, and always get them in return, saying the recipients inbox is full. So I have given up. I just hope someone else will make something like this, since I am going kinda crazy without it (I only have the basegame...)

Finally I can be of some use to SOMEONE!

The WooHoo project kinda went....poof. Long story and I'm not quite sure about all the details. However the most up to date copy of WooHoo can be found at Derailed Sims 2. Some of the people who were helping develop it decided to make a usuable copy for those who asked since the creator has been MIA for some time now.

Hope this Helps

Thank you Under Fire!  This is great news, better a small functional tool than none at all!

It's rare that I get to let people know about anything. When it comes to the Sims 2 for Mac, usually I'm the last on the bandwagon. Everything that I would ask has already been answered by those who've been around much longer than me. I actually was recieving WooHoo via email from the Creator at the Wordpress site. When the project went kerflooey I had a copy of WooHoo with many features still locked. It was by no means perfect but still usable.

2 weeks ago my game stopped loading up I went crazy trying to figure out why. After much research it turns out that I had hit the download file limit. In searching for the fix I found the link to this copy of WooHoo that is more developed than the one I had. This copy actually allowed me to open the files individually and view the textures. It made it exponentially easier to clean up my downloads folder because I could now view the "1328687rdf87sd2f7s32ft825dff.package" type files that result from expanding Sims2Packs.

After properly sorting my downloads and deleteing content I no longer needed/liked and excecuting the file limit fix my game loaded again. So if the information I found can be of use to someone else then I'm happy to share it.

Thank you for starting this topic and thank you too for providing the link. The people in this community are so helpful.

This is a good way to tidy up the downloads folder.

I think I deleted a bit more than needed to and some sims have reverted to defaults. But hey the good thing is that the game still works, it works better and I did not have to reinstall it or anything complicated like that.

Once again thank you for sharing and caring.
