Your all very welcome. Yeah I haven't joined any contests in awhile because I've been kinda busy. But its cool to be able to make your own clothes. Smiley

There's a "refresh" icon?  That's what that thing is?  LOL I had no idea!  You should see all of the unfinished projects I have in my Projects folder because I didn't know that little icon meant refresh.

Thanks so much for this Innocent, it really was a tutorial for dummies.

@ mellie C. - Yup thats what its for...

@tsi - You need to make your own. Smiley You can do this by copying the texture layer and adding it to the bump map layer. And using hue and saturate to make it black and white. Smiley

I enjoyed your tutorial.
I believe you have that great transparent (or parts of it) yellow
dress. I have tried every shade of grey that I can think of on the
alpha channel but none of mine come out that great. Mine don't
even come out that good. The best I have found so far was
102,102,102.  I use PSP7 and PSPX but I find myself using 7 more
because I have gotten so used to it.
Thanks,
Bill

i am using paintshop pro X but it doesn't seem to be the same as what you are using, i get to the point where i have to copy the image of clothing as a transparent layer, i cannot paste it like that at all. do you have any ideas what i should do from there?

Thanks
Charlie

I use PSP 7 so it may not be exactly the same, but you're looking for "Edit - Paste as new layer"  (Ctrl-L) while you have the image you're pasting into active. It may not paste exactly where you want it, so you need to move the layer you've opasted to fit (sometimes it pastes "out of image" which may be why you can't see it).

To make the image transparent, you need to adjust the transparancy/opacity of the layer. To do this, open the toolbox for the layers function (it should be on your toolbar as a default somewhere) and adjust the transparency to about 30 % to see both layers (seeing through the top one to the bottom). You can also toggle the layers on and off.

Thanks tons for this wonderful visual tutorial.

Sorry, but I don't consider myself a dummy;a beginner definately, just a visual learner.  So this is a wonderful tutorial for those of us that need both written instructions & visual aids to make sure that we are doing things correctly.  So if you have any other tutorials in this format for the beginners such as myself.  I would love to have them.  Thanks tons, I am deeply in your debt.  Does it come in a downloadable form?  No Worries if it doesn't I copied for myself so that I could have a hardcopy to go by as well.

Again thanks tons.
