The Crocodile Hunter has been a favorite show of mine for quite a few years now.  My husband even bought me the movie.  I had tried to Sim the Irwin family and never finished doing so.  That project was put on hold due to our own real life issues and I just never got back to it.

My life is starting to get back to normal and I have had some time to get back to Simming difficult people.  Believe me, Steve Irwin isn't the easiest guy to Sim but he's never been a person to take life easy.  Even his hair was a challenge to get right and I don't think it's quite right.  Then again, I'm a bit of a perfectionist in some ways.

So I have now Simmed Steve Irwin as a memoir to him.  This is my version of the Crocodile Hunter.

Thank you to all of the talented artists who have contributed to the community with custom content.  Your work shines and gives us more to work with.  We appreciate it!

You must download the hair mesh for the hair to show in your game:

page 3 in hair - Larc's High Bleeh Hair (chocolate)

clothes - maxis

The clothes I used is not good.  A fairly good set of clothes is available through The Sims Zone on their version of Steve Irwin.

Hey!  Steve was only 44. Wink

I've found it difficult to make sims of people that don't look younger than they look in real life.  I could use facial lines like Hairfish has at her site (Mermaid Cove) but I don't do it very often.  I tend to leave aging of faces in a character to when they go from adult to old.  Truthfully though, I lost all of Hairfish's work in a drive merging for my download-a-holicism (20 gigs yay!) and forgot to redownload her work.

You can always download Hairfish's facial character work and use it with him.  She has always done wonderful work!  Thanks Hairfish!

Thank you everyone.  I'm glad he turned out as well as he had and I'm glad you like it!  I wish I could have made his nose a bit crooked (one of his characteristics that always amused me) but alas we don't have that ability with Body Shop Smiley

*edited due to adding Hairfish's web address and fixing spelling*

Thank you so much for making such a great Sim for Steve. I have watched his show since before it became so popular and I am totally devastated by his loss. Now I can have my own Steve and Terri and Bindy and Bob. You did a great job!

Best regards, Allilh

I have Terri, Bindi and Bob in the works as well but the only problem is finding hair for Terri.  They are all done except for that ... grumble.  Must search again.  Not that I don't have enough downloads as it is but either the hair I have doesn't look right or is from TSR.  Le sigh
