Even though it's defunct now because of the new version of SimPE, it wouldn't hurt to look here as well: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=25474 if you're curious to know exactly what everything is definition wise (just don't follow the procedure, use the links that you have been given since they're for the most recent version of SimPE).  Sometimes that makes things easier (did for me) .  Good luck with your career crafting.
