So I have free reign!  no wife for a week!  well, I miss her, so I made her some dresses for her sims and you can have them too.  Uses warlokk 34dnat-28-40 formal china dress mesh, see above.

I see you have converted a dress I made but I think you are using the wrong mesh. You are using the chinese dress mesh for all the skins so now they appear with collar and sleves.

Can someone verify this? Or is my game screwed up?

nope.  This is an example of what I was talking about with using alpha to display skintones on areas of clothes that maybe need clothes.

And I dunno what your that woried about Gene.  Looks like he really loves my china recolors for this! Tongue

Yes very nice recolours you did. Smiley

Im just pointing out to ramseyazad by making the neckline rounded and chopping the sleaves off in the alpha, the mesh will still show the collar around the neck and a band around the upper arm due to the nature of the chinadress mesh. Zoom in at the picture or better yet in bodyshop to look at it.

Maybe ramseyazad can find a way to work around this.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean now... ramesy, when you converted g3's texture, you applied it to the DressChina mesh, when the original was made for the DressLongTwo mesh.  You should try re-applying it to that outfit, that'll eliminate the weird flesh-colored mesh parts around the arms.

my bad.  This is what happens when you have nfc what you're doing.  I wondered if the bands were a glitch in bodyshop or not.

Before you alter the skins you must understand the mesh. Think of mesh as a skeleton. When you chop off certain parts of the skins/clothes, you will expose the mesh.

In this case the sleaves and collar are part of the chinadress mesh. So no matter what you do it will always be there. What you can do is use another mesh without sleaves and collar. A good choice for your project can be the 3rd dress on the top here. Have fun!
