University & Nightlife required

§178928 - Three Duplexes on a single lot, suitable for College rentals...

Based on three of the many duplexes in this college town I call home, all built between 1890 and 1920.

Starting at the Street intersection on my lot placement moving right:

A three storey wood frame with Georgian neo-classical appointments. The street level storey is one residence, the first and second storeys above the street are the other.

A two storey brick with classic Americana appointments, a typical side-by-side affair.

A two storey in red sandstone, with a fore-and-aft arrangement.

These buildings take up the whole lot, so there is no room a garage unless one of the structures is razed.

Only the barest amount of furnishings, so have at it kiddos.

Non-Maxis recolours by myself and unlabled.

A duplex is a sort of townhouse that comprises 2 residences in one structure; in Britain this would be called "semi-detached."

Here in NYC a duplex is a two story apartment. A semi attached are two seperate houses attached to each other on one side. A fully attached home would be attached on both sides and be called a town house. Thanks for the great work you do boxboy. I enjoy most of it.

A semi-detached is actually two houses joined together in the middle - they could either be 1 or 2 (or possibly more) storeys. Yours, although 2 storeys, are actually detached houses as they don't physically join onto each other. If you have 2 residences in one house (be it semi, detached or terraced - 3 or more houses joined together) then we would call them flats - apartments to you guys over the pond.

ps, these look GREAT, cheers
