Hey all--

Was just playing around, been wanting to do something different with the CAS studio to reflect my Wizard's Tower theme... been using that Mirror CAS for a long time, and I love the concept of the wall mirrors, but it just wasn't everything I was looking for.

So, here's what I came up with... what do you all think?  I'll use this for the future releases, including the repack of the main sets once I get the DDD's done.  There's not much custom content in it, just the expansion pack stuff (NO PETS)... I run a clean game for testing, so I don't have many toys loaded right now... Wink  However, I think you will need the WallMirror set from ParadiseSims.com for the large mirror.

Let me know what you think!  I don't build stuff much, so suggestions are welcome, and if someone wants to tweak it a bit and upload it here, I'll be glad to check it out... maybe it'll become the official Warlokk's Tower CAS Studio!  Cheesy

I like it, its very Warlokk like. A definite statement. I'd use it. The statue is very pretty but I think the suit of armor was watching me as I moved from side to side. ....."Theme from Twilight Zone" playing it my head".........

It's great - definitely thematic.  It reminds me of the opening scenes to the Sims 1 on console.  It works just the way it is, but if you wanted to add something, you could decorate with some magic props since you're a wizard.  A table with candles on it and maybe a musty book on a table, some potions or a scribing mirror on it would do the trick.  Also, since it's a tower, you could use wallpaper of vines growing on stones.

Definitely Towery!

Adding those full-length mirrors was a stroke of brilliance!

I'm guessing that some expansion pack past University is required for the suit of armor and the stone lady.  Maybe the wall mirror and the floor, too.

Oops, I forgot that big mirror was from ParadiseSims.... had that set for so long I forgot it wasn't part of the game Cheesy

VdT-- Actually there is a cool book and candles on the left, but you can only barely see it zoomed all the way out.

Ya gotta set up what you prefer....What I think would be cool would be a complete mirrored room...then you see all the angles....which on your creations would be very nice.

That's actually what I had before, but the camera angle in CAS really only allows the mirror placement I kept here to actually do anything... since the game doesn't allow mirrors to reflect other mirrors, it just sees through them.

What?  No poster on the wall advertising Dow Corning's medical device division?

I'm not a Doctor, I'm a Wizard, dammit!  Cheesy

I'm sure there was a joke in there somewhere, but since I don't know who/what Dow Corning is, it went over my head Wink

For what it's worth, the (feeble) joke is based on Dow Corning being most famous for manufacturing silicone gel breast implants.  (For a somewhat esoteric value of "famous", at least-- or possibly "infamous", given they ended up settling a class action lawsuit to the tune of US$3.2 billion.)

Wikipedia goes into more detail, of course:

There's an old Tutorial over at MikeInside, linked from MTS2:  MikeInside's CAS Tutorial

It's slightly outdated, but the only real change is you can now save the CAS!.package file to your Downloads folder instead of the main game folder... this may depend on what XP you have though.
