:director: UPLOADING MY FILES TO THE EXCHANGE OR PAY SITES IS BAD KARMA.

For the Natural Redhead Project: 14 of my eyes, linked to a freckle texture.  Only download one of each color - the same color files have the same name, and the same cookiethingmagig.

The freckles use a low-opacity alpha and the darkest default skintone color, so they shouldn't create any unexpected light splotches unless you have skintones darker than Maxis dark available to your townies. The freckles themselves are also fairly discreet, so they shouldn't be a nuisance if they do show up on random sims. Additionally, eyes are rendered at the lowest layer, so you should be able to cover them up with makeup if you want.

The eyes are binned according to my usual scheme. Here is a chart of the eyes included in this download:

Most dominant: Brown, Dark Brown.

Dominant: Green, Brown-Blue Hazel, and Green-Brown Hazel.

Neutral: Blue, Bright Blue, Blue-Green Hazel, Green-Gold Hazel, Green-Grey Hazel and Light Green.

Recessive: Grey-Blue Hazel, Grey and Light Blue.

Most Recessive: none in this post.

Terms of use for my textures/recolors: These files may only be redistributed via shared sims, so long as those sims are available in the free section of any site, and I am credited with a link back to my profile on this site. You may not charge money or a membership fee for my files: this includes "donation files" on an otherwise free site, and sites where my files would only periodically be free.

This is really slick having some very nice freckles come with eyes. I think you did a wonderful job placing the iris and giving them a three dimensional, reflective  look.

this is such an interesting project.  My daughter is what I used to call a "strawberry blonde", which meant someone with hair somewhere between blonde and red, but more like blonde than red.  Very mixed genetics but red and blonde hair on both sides of the family.  I don't think I've ever seen that particular hair color anywhere here.  And I don't think I've seen the skin tone either, which is pale and ruddy at the same time without freckles.

My daughter got a shot of Turkish blood in the mix; on top of the strawberry blonde hair, she got some of my olive complexion, so she tans very fast and does not freckle, but has the reddish blonde hair from her father, the Irishman.

Hello
I am in love with your red haired sims.
But I am a tiny bit confused, I am hoping you can answer my silly question.

I am using your default set of eyes alkaloid.
Can I still use one set of townie freckled linked eyes or not?
And can I use your seperate eyes sets for non redheads as well?

In other words, I adore your eyes but I don't like conflicts.

You may use all of them together. What you can't do is try to force two versions of the same color to coexist (like, "townie dark brown" in one folder and "non townie dark brown" in another - I made both versions with the same name to try to force overwrites if someone downloaded both). Eyes with freckles count as another color, so you could have "townie dark brown" and "non townie dark brown with freckles" in the same game with no problems. Or vice versa. Smiley

So, to summarize, you can have my default eyes, my regular townie eyes, and my freckled townie eyes all in the same game. You may also edit an unlimited number of any other eyes you may have in your game to be available to townies and randomly-generated sims. Smiley

At the very least, I recommend binning eyes from other creators so they will also use the dominant/recessive genetics features of the game. I think I have about 100 other eyes from other creators, and it didn't take me long to bin them up (it's just editing one number in a file). Smiley
