when you make the alpha of the makeupfile - it is important that you make certain that the part you are erasing is blotted out with true black.  even the slightest difference can cause problems.

also you may have to alter your game settings file manually in a text editor so BodyShop doesn't reduce the quality of the work you are doing. HystericalParoxysm explains it in this post at MTS2 Body Shop is making all my projects small and blurry!

Well, problem fixed itself! Opened bodyshop and tried again and it looks all neat and dandy. So yay, I did it!

This was just a trial project, so it doesn't look perfect, but now that I've learnt how to do it, I'll do it over and over and over ^^, Thank you, both of you, for your help!
