Delphy from MTS2 made an installer that will install files for you after you select them. This works for zip, rar and sims2pack file formats.
More detailed information can be found here: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=114531
and the url for the site can be found here: http://q-xpress.modthesims2.com
Not only does it work for MTS2 downloads but will install for other sites too.

pretty nice of him to create one,
now people have no reason to not have something to open their files

no you dont drag it...when you're on mts2, you click a special "q-xpress install" link and it downloads it to q-express...you should go to the official site (click the link) and read more about it...

I think most people just use WinRAR or WinZIP (or Windows XP's built in .zip reader) to pluck the files out and drop them into their Downloads folder.

Hey people, I don't know if you noticed my this post (#9). I even tried this Q-xpress thing, but it doesn't help me! Meshes just don't want to appear in my game Sad Recolors - no problem, but without meshes they look stupid :pale:

Well, as far as I understand, "mesh" is a thing, made in 3D making program (Maya, 3D Studio Max, ect.), which makes objects have different shapes... :B
The problem is, that bodybuilder mesh (as same, as other Sims meshes) doesn't work. I just get a slim guy, without muscles, but with authors recolor...
Can somebody help me out with this one?

my problem isn't with the downloading and extracting the files, it's actually getting them to appear on the game itself.
