I like the idea of your outfit, but you could enhance it by adding more shading, particularly to the straps of the shirt. I recommend looking at a few reference pictures. Here's a shading tutorial that may prove useful. It uses Photoshop, but paint programs have generally the same types of filters and functions. I use the Gimp and I was able to understand it.
