well... i went to the microsoft homepage to download net framework 2.0 and now when i went to download windows installer 3.0 it tells me that my windows xp isn't genuine and i don't know why! apparently it doesn't pass the validation process of being genuine! i have bought an xp cd off the net as i had to format the computer and obviously had to put a operating system back on! would it be wrong if i asked someone to download it for me and send it to me seeing as i cannot do it myself? Sorry if this is not allowed!

CharlieRogan - you will have to call Microsoft Tech support and get an alternate validation for the Windows you have since even the .NET installer now checks for validation.
