Jack,

Hi. The way I got the collar to look like "pop up", is that I left just a little white line along it.  I'm hoping I'm explaining it okay.  If your white lne isn't easily seen, try using the icon that looks like a paint brush and put in the smallest brush.  Then add your lines (or buttons or creases, etc.) pixel by pixel.  It's tedious at first, but the more I do it, the faster I'm getting.  By the way, enlarge the photo as much as possible so you can see what you're doing.  

It's also possible to go back and forth between Adobe Photoshop and "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" (the photo editor that comes with most Windows on your computer) at the same time.  I'll edit/cut from one, and paste it on the other when I can't manipulate the Adobe just right.  On a few things, this is so far the only way I can get the desired effect.  I'm still learning, don't know if this helped you or not.
