I wanted to know if it was safe to delete the premade neighbourhoods (Pleasantview, Strangetown, and Veronaville)??
If you install a new EP, will the neighbourhoods be re-installed to their original locations (N001, N002 & N003) - thus causing problems with custom neighbourhoods in those locations???

(My apologies if this thread is elsewhere, I looked and couldn't find anything)

I deleted them with no problems, your new neighborhood is given a new ID everytime you create one, IE: N004 or N005 would be the ID given to your new custom neighborhood, and the stock ones are given N001 - N003. I'm not entirely sure if they re-install with new EPs but if they do, you may be able to delete them again.

If I'm wrong, hopefully someone smarter will respond!

Hmm... I'm thinking I'll create my custom neighbourhood then delete Strangetown and Veronaville - I don't play them.
That way, theoretically, if a new EP is installed and Strangetown and Veronaville do reappear it'll be in their original locations... as long as a custom neighbourhood doesn't occupy the N002 or N003 folders.
Eh, sounds good in theory right?

I nuked my premade 'hoods long ago, and they've never been reinstalled after adding a new EP, so you should be safe in that regard too.

Well that's good to know, thanks.
If I delete the neighbourhoods from the manager screen, will I still have to delete the N002 & N003 folders? Or can I just delete the folders??

No, if you nuke them from ingame, the associated folders will be deleted as well.

Also, you can safely delete those same folders outside of the game without having to go ingame to do so.
