I was wondering...

I'm no good at making meshes, or such, as of yet on the sims2, but...

I found these wonderful hairstyles, save that they're for women, and I need them fit for men. How does one go about changing the gender hair meshes originally fit onto?

Furious Idea, that is not easily done.  Maxis was rather mean to us on this matter.  The circumfrence and height poisition of the male and female heads are different, so it is nearly impossible to just change the gender on a hair recolour unless you are willing to accept significant defects - like a big gap between the hair and the face & neck.

The proper way to do this is problematic at the best of times, you would have to create a new mesh that you "morph" or alter the shape to fit the differences of the heads.  This is not a one-size-fits-all skill, some people are better at it than others, and the tools one uses to do these things have "personality", so it is long and tedious work.

but have faith, if you like a particular mesh, then odds are someone else did too, so the chances are if you look long enough you will find just about anything.  It may take a long time and require you to become web-functional in 20+ languages (like learning what the Japanese work for "download" is  ) - but in the end you will have what you want.
